Hiya Rocky, this is how I worked out the solution:
Lucy........Crunchies....Rabbit......Tennis..........Lilac......Maldives
Jo...........Wispa Bites...Puppy.....Horse Riding..Blue......Tobago
Hannah....Dairy Milk... ..Ten Pin..........Pink.......Florida
Jessica.....Milky Bars...Horse......Skiing............Green...Australia
Georgina..Boost..........Hamster..Swimming......Purple...Canada
So, that would mean that Hannah must own the Croc !!

how did you work it out i nearly did but it was hard i sat 4 ages.
It took me ages, too ! And 3 goes, and lots of paper.
I found that writing their names in the right order (left to right) helped, so Lucy is first because it says she is on the left, and Georgina is last, and I could figure that Hannah is in the middle because she likes Dairy Milk and Dairy Milk is in the middle. That gave me a good start.

Hiya, OK someone gave me the Who owns the fish? problem last night just before I went to bed and I stayed up an extra 2.5 hours working it out, where can I find the answer to check? I think it's the german in the green house this is what I worked out:
colour house....yellow.........blue......red.........green......white
nationality.......norwegian...dane......brit.........german...swede
drink...............water..........tea........milk........coffee.....beer
plays..............hockey.....baseball....polo........soccer.....billiards
pet..................cats..........horses....birds....... .....dogs
I did the Crocidile problem at work today and it took me about an hour and a half. I tried the Fish one first, but had a very hard time with it. I really enjoy challenges like these. I look forward to finding more on your website.
hi, hrock,
I got the same answer as you...so it should be correct ^_^ (really lame if both of us get the wrong answer). Anyway i really like enjoying these problems!!! really nice, way better than the HOMEWORKS that i get at school XP
hrock and Hyperbelt7, you are both right, but don't tell anyone

Hiya fez ... just "no"? You're just kidding around, right?

Help! My Daughter Has A Worksheet That Reads, Write A Title For Each Group Of Plane Shapes. One Group Has 3 Parallelograms And One Hexagon; The Other Has 3 Parallelograms And One Triangle. What Should Each Of These Groups Be Named And Why? Thanks! Bridget

Does sound a bit difficult ...
... there could be some common properties such as equal angles, or right angles, or equal sides that you might be able to see. Perhaps one group is obviously all irregular. You say "Parallelograms", but are they indeed Parallelograms ?
Have you looked at our pages on Quadrilaterals? Maybe that would help.

How to learn math more efficiently? No matter how hard i practise, i will freak out when i sit for any math related exam and my mind will be in a total blank. please help!
If only there were a better way to test math skills. Exams are so stressful.
Why not get a few old exam papers, and have someone supervise you like a real exam. "It is 9 O'Clock, you can now start ... ". Have a big old clock on the wall to further stress you out. If you can pass an old exam this way, then you will have more confidence in the real exam.
Also, exam preparation is important. What I used to do was this: Every day I studied, I would write down important points on a sheet of paper (like "multiplying negatives gives a positive"). Sometimes I would have 2 or 3 pieces of paper that summarised everything I had learned. An hour before the exam I would find a quiet corner and go over my summary sheets until it was all fresh in my mind.
And you know it is hard to be stressed about anything you have confidence in.
Hope this helps.
