Surds Excercises
Ah...surds. Fun to work through, like algebra. Anyway, you should know how to do these - These don't have long surds like 'root 2097152' or 'root 97485492141'. They're more like 'root 147'...that kind. Have fun solving these!
1. Simplify 'root 18'.
2. Simplify 'root 72'.
3. Simply 'root 18' + 'root 72'.
4. Simplify 'root 45' + 'root 80'.
5. Simplify 'root 18' multiplied by 'root 6'.
6. Simplify 'root 48' over 'root 12'.
7. Simplify 'root 32' over 'root 6'.
8. Simplify ('root 18' ÷ 'root 72') over 'root 8'.
9. Simplify '4' over ('root 8' ÷ 'root 2').
10. Simplify '16' over ('root 20' ÷ 'root 12').
