hey im LorraineBR, im at college doin an engineerin degree and i get a maths degree 2 so i thought id join in the hopes of learning something:D...just thought id say hi so hi

Good choice for college education, engineers are really needed these days (at least in the US)

i think it was wen u devided by a number bigger than 12
its for wen your in primary school its really long and stupid

15√ 165                  15 doesnt go into 1 so u carry it across to the 6 makin 16
       16                    15 goes in to 16 once so 1 goes on the top line and ur left with 1 and u bring down the 5 to make 15
         15                  15 goes into 15 once so you put one on the top line and ders no remainder so eleven is ur answer

Sorry Lorraine, just being asinine, I knew what it was. But for the record it is confusing. The way children are taught to calculate is probably the main reason that people grow up hating math.

its more helpful wen ur doin it to find roots of eqn its still pretty stupid tho. and your right the maths curriculum has a lot to be answered for i no it has to be thought but it could be thought better
