Pouring Liquid

A new challenge ... Pouring Liquid

Ideas for improvement and/or bug reports please!

Re: Pouring Liquid

It would be better not to have any time limit for this one, just a fixed number of questions. I find the time limit annoying. neutral

Re: Pouring Liquid

Hi Mathsisfun and Jane;

I scored 39 is that good? Have to disagree the time limit makes the game. Nicely done Maths.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

Re: Pouring Liquid

Heh, I just got 39 too. smile  (Mixed)

Pretty good game overall, my one complaint is that the conical containers are a bit confusing.
For a while I was using the given circle as the base of the "liquid cone" rather than the "container cone", and then wondering why my estimates were so awful.

Then again, it does make more sense to do it that way.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Re: Pouring Liquid

Maybe a shaded inner circle?

Cones are very non-intuitive ... I found myself checking the calculations quite a lot when I was developing.

Re: Pouring Liquid

Updated: has shaded section for cones, and cylinders now come in ".5" sizes.

I got 79 but had no cones, only cylinders. Was I playing the same game as you guys? tongue

Re: Pouring Liquid

Hi jl smile

How is everything going?

Try the game again, refresh the page from your browser.

Pick "mixed"

Re: Pouring Liquid

Hi justlookingforthemoment;

Obviously, you and I are not playing the same game! I want to play your game.

Re: Pouring Liquid

When I uploaded the previous version it was in "only cylinders" mode.

Re: Pouring Liquid

Okay, tried a second time. I think I preferred my score the first time I played!

Things are well but busy, which I guess it good. How are things here? I just signed up to Mathopolis (thought I had already signed up but it turns out not). Nice work Rod, it's good fun. But my goodness, slow down mathsy, are you a bot? big_smile

Re: Pouring Liquid

I think we should just be thankful mathsy is on our side. up

I see you have already had some successes on Mathopolis.

What makes your life busy?
