I am attending a local university and taking Elementary Algebra to prepare myself for College Algebra. I am able to do the work for the most part, but I have problems with getting the correct symbol for the answer, i.e. I might put a negative sign when the final answer is actually positive. Also, when I see a problem on a test, it's hard sometime for me to recall the way it's supposed to be solved as far as the steps are concerned. This causes valuable time and as a result I panic and don't do as well as I should. I'm hoping to be able to find some support on this message board. Thanks!

Hi Jenny and welcome.
Why not create a new topic introducing yourself in "Introductions": http://www.mathisfunforum.com/viewforum.php?id=7
And "... ideas and tricks of maths for school peoples." sounds great!
