The difference between 5012 and 6123 (ie, 5012 raised by the Victor Borge Constant) = 1111......and 11+1+1 = 13.
And, what's more (moreover), is that 1111 factorizes into 11*101...and 11+1+0+1 = 13.

hmmm... where did we lose it???

I don't know, someone might not have cared for the 4000's very much and decided to skip most of them. I might have seen it but thought, what the heck.

that's crazzzy!
they are not multiples of 13 anymore!

That was me, counting skipping sheep in my sleepzzzzz!
We'd better get back on track, as none of the numbers after 4199 are multiples of 13.
Luckily I can just use the trick from the post where I derailed and don't have to think up anything wonderful.

Don't worry about it. As long as I am still having problems coming up with an interesting solution to your YOB, you are OK with me.

Post #333:
A. x = any number, y = -4225
B. x = -4225, y = any number
I don't know if they're the only solutions.
Don't worry about it. As long as I am still having problems coming up with an interesting solution to your YOB, you are OK with me.
I see. I'm only OK with you until then, then.
And how can you fit trying to solve my YOB puzzle into your busy day, in view of what you said about NOHOW?
I am having fun spending a little time each day on it. I am getting nowhere but enjoying the play.
That was 220 days ago.
220 factorized = 2*2*5*11......2*25-11 = 39......39 = 13 + 13 + 13 : ie, eerily linked to this thread!
Catchups:
4238 : 4 / 2 + 3 + 8 = 13
4251 : (4 * 2 + 5) * 1 = 13
4264 : √4 * 26 / 4 = 13
4277 : -√4 / 2 + 7 + 7 = 13
4290 : √4 + 2 + 9 + 0 = 13
4303 : 4 + (3 + 0) * 3 = 13
4316 : (4 + 3) * 1 + 6 = 13
4329 : 4! / 3 / 2 + 9 = 13
4342 : 4 + 3 + 4 + 2 = 13

Hi, ZHero!
Didn't recognise you without your makeup on! I was about to welcome you to the forum.
Nice numerical gymnastics routine!
4368
-4+3+6+8 = 13
4+3!/6+8 = 13
√4-3+6+8 = 13
(4/3*6/8) - (4*3-6*8) - (4+3+6+8) - (4-3-(6-8)) = 13

Hi phrontister;
I see. I'm only OK with you until then, then.
Didn't exactly mean it like that. I guess you know what I mean.
Do you 2 dudes know each other?

Yes, I know. Sometimes I don't get results for a very long time, and sometimes never. Sometimes I am forced to leave something in my notes under unsolved, waiting for a new idea to hit me. It is not through lack of trying, just lack of ability. I have switched over to YOB, but would like to solve it in a way that is more interesting than what I thought was the right way.

Can't say for sure what your imagining I meant. I can only say phrontister along with Jane and Tiggy are my favorites to post to.

It took me a long while finding "Tiggy". I googled it and came across >>Chiggy-Wiggy<<
I didn't know we had Tarzan and Jane over here!
well... I guess i know phrontister who's been posting on this forum for quite a while!!

I suffer from the disease that if there's an opportunity to take something out of context - just to make something confusing that wasn't - I'll take it. Sometimes also called 'foot-in-mouth' disease...but I like to call it tongue-in-cheek :^) Yes...I'm guilty of twisting what you said, Bobby. Anyone for some pi?

29 seconds between our posts was quite stunning! I thought it was a time warp thing or international time difference, or MIF clock glitch, or that you used my time machine...or something.
