Hi;
These seem to fit.
And man made war on his environment, and his environment made war on him...
Man is a clever animal who behaves like an imbecile.
We've got to pause and ask ourselves: How much clean air do we need?
Guess he meant water too!
Capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone.
The use of solar energy has not been opened up because the oil industry does not own the sun.
While we are arguing over in the other thread about who started life here. We may soon know who ended it. BP, a fitting end?
Oil being created by an unknown process, 40000 feet below the surface? Sounds fishy! And they just had to go get it?!

Well that's a bit sad news, but since I am made of godium I doubt that I will die from it.
The rest of you though... I'll be praying for you.

Thanks, LQ. I needed that.

So when will the world die from it, exactly?

I don't lnow LQ, they didn't say. They said it would take 3 years to reach Europe. So figure they are lying, so cut that in half. I get a year and a half, how does that sound?

Hm. So if it takes me 1,3927 * 10^24 years to eat up earth and render it feeling and sencing for real, I'll be eating oil quite often. Life is really faschinating.
I'm trying to enjoy the miracles in life, and a fish sure is pretty. Pitty ofcourse.

So you eat 4.28965319 kgms of earth per year. That isn't very much, better start munching.

That's the right way, a little earth never hurt anybody.

Sooner or later I'll become so huge that I fall down the center of earth though. Unless they shoot me out in a space shuttle.
Yet again, I don't grow any faster in there. Probably munch on radioactives when I'm there, which is a good thing.
How's the oil turning out?

BP brought in the 3 of the finest scientists in the world. ( Groucho couldn't make it ) . There burning it now. They are only burning half ( half? ) of it per day so... Other scientists say they are detecting a huge pocket of natural gas forming under the water. If it goes it will cause a tremendous explosion. Some people feel BP doesn't have any idea on how stop the leak.

How does one usually do it?

I don't know. The pressure of the oil was so great, much more than they anticipated that it blew the seals and that is how the leak started. They are using some kind of device to burn it but it can't handle the load.

Well, bobbym. We are lucky we aren't involved at least. I'd consider that much worse then to die of oil.. Or?

True enough. I had nothing to do with that. Personally when I see a huge deposit of oil just sitting there. You don't know how it got there and you state that it replenishes itself by some unknown process. Unknown process???!!!!!
Personally I would have went, "Shields up, Captain and go to red alert, Captain?" I would have done a lot more research before trying to drag it out of there. Now we have to pay the price for BP's greed and ineptness. Just hope the bill isn't too high.

I figured you were kidding when you said it replenished.. It replenish? You mean there's a wyrmhole in the bank that alter the structure of the soil and make it into oil?
W8 a bit. There's something about replenishing demon flesh written somewhere. You don't think there's an old fossilised demon repleneshing wyrmhole down there, making oil instead?
You don't think... that some alien breed is donating oil too us through a wyrmhole just because we had a deal with them?
What other reasons may there be? an unorganic process that makes oil?
And they drilled but the whole ground just crashed.
Mysterious.

They were careful in the one single report, which may be an error, to say natural. I'm sure it soon will be declared a mistake or the whole report will mysteriously disappear. Back to the report, they said an unknown but natural process. Well, if it is unknown how are they sure it is natural?
My thoughts are leaning towards a similar idea as yours and that's all that I will say about it. I do not want and endless stream of debunkers to attack me here.

The simplest scenario would've been that there's some sorta oil catalysator down there though. In which case it probably won't we working since the seabottom collapsed. In either case an replenishing oil well would probably require heat. Right?

Well, I guess self regenerating oil would've blown all tanks? So it's a plus that it didn't, right

Forget about self regenerating oil, we need a self regenerating planet.

P.S. That prior post would almost qualify for that fifth-glyph-in-all-words topic.

Actually, I read in the news a while ago that there is a kind of bacterium that puts out a substance that can be used for fuel. Maybe that's the source of the replenishing oil. (Although it could have not been oil. I just can't remember.)

This thread reminds me of The Happening. Where the trees fought back against man kind and exhaled a gas that made everyone suicidal. I'm not sure if that would really be possible though. But all I've heard about helping the environment is that everyone reckons the best fuel source would be hydrogen. But I'm not so sure...
