Running out of ideas. One guy proposed as apposed to the storm using wavepower to direct water into the air and cooling it down. Seem like a good idea.
Waves are quite strong under the storm though.

So am I. Directing water into the air and then cooling it is apt to result in rain or snow. I don't think that will help plug the leak.

Nah, but it'll cool down the storm a little they figured.

They said the storm will push the oil back toward the coast?

Doesn't sound like a good thing..

No it doesn't. Tar balls have already been found inland.

Unpleasant indeed.
Let's hope for no lightning, or maybe we'll have a firestorm?
New idea, make a wind from cooler waters caused by wave energy from the storm; make the wind in opposite wind direction.

Could happen. Hurricane might miss the oil slick.

How about a cool opposing wind caused by water energy then?

Well, if you know of a way to generate a nice cool breeze then Vegas would be interested. They said it was 110 outside but it was more like 122.

Fahrenheit? 50 celcius, not that low...

Yep. Nasty hot. Killing hot.

They would need a breeze ey?
Basically the cold only needs to be applied to the people. So what kind of food release least energy?
Can there be made an unharmfull substance that applied to the skin releases body heat?

Yes, water vapor. On certain portions of the strip and in Phoenix they have small nozzles that shoot a fine mist of water on to you as you walk outside. The evaporation off the water on your skin cools you.

A sticky substance, that doesn't fall of.

New idea I published at sciforums:
Make a filter that filters gas from oil. Drill another hole and combine with the filter.
Release the gas and ignite so that the oilpreasure lowers.

Combine? How?

put the filter in a pipe and put it in the hole releasing alot of the gas and not the oil, to remove the preasure

Do you know of any such filter?

No, but I have an idea: A normal gas filter (that can let though the gas) and then you heat the oil under that.
That would've done it, given some hardcore heat.

What is a normal gas filter and how does that work?

Basically something like a plastic filter that is kinda thick, or a glassfiber filter. surely there must exist a possibility of making such a filter?

The pressure would blow the filter right off. They couldn't even cap it.

Anything that would block the oil would be like a cap. When they tried to cap it, it broke the seals the pressure is too high.
