Welcome to the forum.

Yes, welcome! I hope you can start to remember your maths...

And I hope you get to solve one of ganesh's puzzles.

And while you're here, on the side from maths, I hope you get to join in with Wink Murder. (See the Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity Forum and then Wink Murder 4 for the latest game.)

Bienvenue Burrita.
I could make the rest of this post in French, but I'm too lazy.
Welcome, anyway!

He probably could, too. He lives not far from France.

Only some odd distance of miles. And I got a B in French for GCSE. Whoo!

Why don't we start a MathsIsFun page for other languages? LOL. I wonder what languages we could have.

Well we have French!

I tried translating English to German, then German back to English. After three cycles, this is what I got. You can see how different, meaningless the passage is after the three cycles.
There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations. Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled. If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy.
There is enormous luck, if one forms others lucky, despite our own situations. Divided wrong is half ensures, but luck, if it is divided, is geverdoppelt. If you liked to feel rich, straight lines counting pulse all things, which have you that money cannot buy.
There is enormous luck, if one forms lucky others, despite our own situations. Divided wrongly half guarantees, but luck, if it is divided, is geverdoppelt. If you hand counting pulse, straight straight lines to believe liked all things, which have you that money cannot buy.
There is enormous luck, if one forms lucky others, despite our own situations. Divided one wrongly half warranties, but luck, if it is divided, is geverdoppelt. If you hand counting pulse over, the straight straight straight lines liked all things, which have you to the faith that money cannot buy.

14 miles, dude. You'd've failed Geometry.
Boy let me tell you what:
I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player too.
And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you.

LOL, Ganesh!
Why don't we start a MathsIsFun page for other languages? LOL. I wonder what languages we could have.
Spanish would be my first choice, because there are lots of students in South America (and Spain and North America) who know spanish better than english. Wouldn't it be great to help them out in their own language? Just a dream.
I tried an automatic translation of the front page, and the simple text "Contact Us", became "Contacte Eeuu" which is spanish for "Contact the United States". If that is one example, I wonder what the rest would be like!
(BTW "Maths Is Fun" becomes "Matemáticas Es Divertida", bit of a long name)

No, I would of failed Geography.

"Maths Is Fun" --> "Matemáticas Son Divertidas"
Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Someone failed Spanish.

Rod's version is the literal translation, making me assume that he probably used some kind of translator-type thingy.

I did use an auto-translator ... however the implication is now that your spanish is darn good!
But would a native spanish speaker call a website "Matemáticas Son Divertidas" ? There would probably be a punchier way to get the idea across.
I am pretty sure that if I auto-translated the site I would get lots of spanish-speaking visitors - they would be coming to have a good laugh

No, you would have failed English. But I can speak. I can't even spell Beryllium.

I know would of, is actually would have. We had an english class on it in Year 11. It was boring.

No wonder you don't remember any of it then!

Hey. I type perfectly at work as I take my time.
The only reason why I got a B in English, is the fact I didn't do my coursework. Well I did, but I did the bare minimum.
