You may believe these so-called "myths", but they are not real. Hence, they are dubbed "myths". Legends are, or have a chance of being, real.

Also, the phrase "Pot calling the kettle black" means hypocrisy. Both the kettle and the pot are black, thus as the pot calls the kettle black, he is just reinforcing the fact that it is black, in itself.

"A rolling stone gathers no moss", meaning if you travel a lot you don't gather much money. Hmm ... the Rolling Stones kinda disproved that, I think, they must have made millions on tours.

Also can mean you don't collect other things, like responsiblities.
