Re: Compare and Contrast

Hi MIF;

2 is larger on my screen and has more features. Can you put in a save image.

It is really beautiful to look at and it has uses. If makes me think of pursuit curves. I know that it violates the symmetry which is the point but very useful would be a way to vary the speed of each curve ( perhaps in another program ). Then pursuit curve problems could be graphically solved!

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.

Re: Compare and Contrast

Hi MIF,

Love them both, but SA2 better for me, just because of the layout.

Re: Compare and Contrast

Thanks guys!

Pursuit curves are fun, maybe I should make an app one day smile

Re: Compare and Contrast

It already solves the problem of what path would 4 cats take if they started on the vertices of a square and each one pursued the one to its left.

Re: Compare and Contrast

I like putting on a high amount of rotational symmetry and then using the "circle" brush to make one big off-centre circle.

The "circles" brush is quite fun even without using symmetry.

Not sure how easy it'd be, but one thing I'd like is the option to have a circular canvas.
Right now, depending on the type of symmetry you use, it's possible to draw something in the corner and have the corresponding drawings be offscreen.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Re: Compare and Contrast

Interesting idea, I will look at it.

Re: Compare and Contrast

I love the new 2nd one like a 10 out of 10.  Very nice.
the other one surprised me with the background color switch thing.
The new one is more pleasing and larger.
Also, if you are drawing 2 to 8 things at the same time due to
symmetry, could you have the option of having different colors
for each of the different reflections??  Just a crazy colorful idea...
Nice work!!  Also the option for square cornered wide lines too instead
of rounded ends if possible would be terrific for some things I draw!

Re: Compare and Contrast

Mathsy: now with circular canvas option!

John: Thanks! Will look at your ideas too.
