Re: Is this cool with you?

Hi bobbym,

Is the pitbull outside the barn?
Is dog the intruder here?

Re: Is this cool with you?

Hi gAr;

The pitbull is outside the barn he is at the northeast corner. The dog is not the intruder.

I have included a picture in the original post. The dog is chained outside with a 30m leash at point C.

Oh, pit bull is a breed of dog. I thought it's a bull!
Okay.

Hi 123ronnie321,

Yes, that's correct.
There's actually a power of 2 inside that square root, I forgot to remove the root symbol!

Did you try the area?

Okay.
The area you get is slightly more than mine.
Did you consider something other than one big sector and two small sectors?

I did not see your post. We were posting at the the same time. Checking the work now.

Did anyone recognize the shape of the dog's patrol area?

Hi all,

Sorry for the late reply, I was called away.

I was thinking only the final shape, so those triangles escaped my mind!

So the answer for the

Hi bobbym,

Probably 123ronnie321 too used geogebra.

That shape looks like a cardioid, but not one.

Re: Is this cool with you?

It's a piecewise curve, pieces of circles!

I had seen such a question, where it's circular barn instead of a square. The length of the leash was equal to half circumference. That curve would be a cardioid , I guess.

Yes, I used Geogebra too!

I have never noticed a heart like structure forming in my cup.
I will try to see that when I have tea tomorrow morning. smile
