That is! I have a birthday coming up.

Thanks Sarah.

hi everybody,
I think I've got a theorem here:
Cannot get a 'complement' bar over my set on the same line as the phi.

hi bob
why not just use \frac ?

hi Stefy,
I was try to express the following
The complement of the set {people who have a birthday coming up} = phi = empty set.
You'll notice I was trying to inject some maths into the thread; sorry Sarah Rebekah.
btw Mine's in January.
So I wanted to get a bar over the whole of the set ... tried \bar (put the bar over the letter 'b' in the middle!) and \over (which is how I left it) but then the phi became the top of the fraction. ggrrr! so I put it into two separate lines.
Any suggestions?
Bob

I am not sure what all this means.

It means I can do this
Thanks

Will you explain the theorem?

I think of it like this-every level of information I give out is a step closer to me. But, I am sure that if you searched through my posts you could find my birth date.

How can we get them to do that? Seems impossible.

Nobody will be made into that. Thus the use of "volunteer".

Hi anonimnystefy;
Maybe about 5 members would go back and fill in their birthdate. That is probably not enough.

I think it would be more,but you wouldn't be one of them.

I could add credibility to your DOB by including it in your YOB puzzle, Bobby!

Hi;
Yes, you could. But who could solve it? I am still having major problems.

But who could solve it?
Somewhere in the multiverse I have solved it. In fact I did it five years before it was set!
Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to communicate with any of the infinite number of other selves that exist in all these universes so I am unable to profit from this information in this universe.
The really annoying thing is: in at least one of those universes a 'Bob' has worked out how to communicate across universes. Why isn't he doing so?

Now, that's jolly interesting! It could very well explain the odd feeling I got when the person who solved my puzzle communicated their M solution to me. It seemed that they knew 'my' puzzle better than I did: that they might even be its original author, and that I, in this universe, am merely a subsequent author.
I may, then, have received a surreptitious www visit from another me! If we're a replication or a parallel existence of another life in some other universe within a multiverse, I'd draw the conclusion that one day I'll know much more M than I do now!!
