Re: Cow Bull 1

Well, I don't know about bulls but I can tell you that, after much analysis, my next guess will feature 4 cows at the worst possible outcome. 2 or 4 of those cows may become bulls if I'm lucky. Here goes...

Guess 6: 7902

It was either that or...

Guess 8: 9702. I win!

Re: Cow Bull 1

Guess 8: 9702 (BBBB)
Well played mathsyperson

If you notice the previous two games:

CowBull1= 2364
CowBull2= 5821

all unused numbers, in descending order ...
becuase ascending is precluded by the rule: "the first is always non-zero"
which gives 970
and then using opposite reasoning to balance the non-randomness of my selection ...
the only shared value
which is 2
which leads to 9702

So if somehow someone was thinking along the same lines, the probability of it taking only one guess increased.  And to think, I was going to be boring and use 4d10 ... let's take this game up a notch shall we?

Re: Cow Bull 1

I'll do CowBull 4. My number isn't completely random, there is a connection between it and the game. Do your worst!

Re: Cow Bull 1

Yes, 4536 was the correct number. It only took 7 guesses too. We're getting better. Bonus points to anyone who figures out the significance of that number.

It is a spiral galaxy 70 million light years away: NGC 4536

And the significance is that you intend to reach there within your (incredbly long) lifespan.

What's the connection between the galaxy and the game though?
