Re: Whats my line?

I make it 2 questions left.

Without this being a question I'm thinking he is in weapons quidance or someone who plants nosy cookies into computers to spy on us.  As he is 'next to us right now' the latter seems the better idea.

What do you think?

Re: Whats my line?

Yes, 20 sounds fair to me. I have to dispute the fact that you would have asked better questions. I do not think you will get it if you had 918726546572 questions. That is because he is not well known and he likes it that way.

Re: Whats my line?

ps.  If it is 20 each then we've got bags of flexibility.

You can tell me what you want to ask and I'll ask it.

Then when I'm running out, I'll get my wife to join ..........

Oh, whoops.  Got to go now.  I'll look in again later.

Re: Whats my line?

hi bobbym,

16 and 6 is very generous.  Thank you.

Shouldn't the questions be yes / no type?

5. Does he get paid by an employer for what he does?

Yes, they should be of that type but I will not enforce it.

No, he is not paid by an employer.

hi

Yes, they should be of that type but I will not enforce it.

I'm sure you don't mean that otherwise my next question is

"What is his identity and occupation?"    roflol

My real question is:

6. Does he make money from what he does at all?

Bob

The mechanism of his finances I do not understand at all so I can not say. You can ask another question for 15.

Re: Whats my line?

hi Stefy,

Many years ago my computer was an Acorn RISCOS PC600.  Surely one of the finest machines ever made.  It's Reduced Instruction Set (Computer) Operating System was so good that, when you turned it on, it went whirr / beep and was ready to use.  ie. boot up time under 1 second.  If you cut the power, obviously it stopped,  but it didn't tell you off when you re-started; it just went whirr / beep again and was ready.  It never crashed and it was so easy to use it didn't need wizards / make incorrect guesses about what you were intending / nor  did you have to wait ages for software to (down)load.  In short, it was the computer of the future and we-users believed that, one day, those folk at Apple and Microsoft would catch up and start making RISCOS machines as well.

But they didn't.  They squeezed Acorn out of the market by financially undercutting their prices and Acorn went 'to the wall'.  sad:(

Weep! Minute silence for the loss.  sad

Reading the description of the fellow in the puzzle he sounds a lot like the gremlin that is built into computers to stop them being like the Acorn.  I hadn't realised he had a face.
