I have been upgrading my "spinning solids" app to include nets, plus added lots more solids here: Polyhedron Models
Have fun!
It would be nice if you could try printing a net (maybe even make a solid) and tell me how it works for you.
Comments and suggestions please, so this app can be as useful and fun as possible.

Hi MathsIsFun;
Nice graphics! Could you include a pyramid?
Oh, I see it now!
Where did you get all the templates from?
In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.

Some I had already (platonics, pyramids, etc), others from http://netlib.sandia.gov/polyhedra/ (though there were errors and missing data in those). I just kept searching the net, or making my own corrections. I probably spent a solid week just on the data.
Some of the nets overlap and so would be hard to make (may need to print two copies and merge). But they are a correct net. I am not sure what to do with those.

Hi MIF;
Thanks for doing the work. The objects look fine and spin well. Any idea how you would best transfer the template to a stiff piece of cardboard or plastic?

You could try printing on paper, then hold the paper on the cardboard and use a pin to mark all vertices.
If you take some nice photos at each stage I could put them on "model construction tips".

Hi MIF;
I will let you know if I succeed.

hi MIF
nice work on those.about most of those i have never heard so this has given me something new to look into.have you maybe got a page on these polyhedra(such as the gyro-elongated,augmented and all of that stuff)
PS. i like the tetrahemihexahedron,but some of the faces look like they are no there due to extensive use of transparency.

hi guys
i attempted and succeeded in making of the sphenomegacorona.
later i'm going to try making even more models.i'll let you know on what i did.
