Re: Cow Bull 1

Hmm. I thought that because the guess was redundant last time, you made it the number this time. Oh well, I suppose I'd better win it now.

Guess 8: 3614

Re: Cow Bull 1

Can you check your answers please? I worked it through logically, and 3614 should be the only answer, when given the information up to guess 7. I've double-checked my working, and I didn't find any mistakes, although that doesn't mean there isn't one.

Re: Cow Bull 1

Okay, I've checked and everything seems to be in order. That is, I think everything is right. I may be wrong, of course.

Let me just say that your 'logical' post (#100) was [very maybe] not so logical, and there might be another option. Especially in the first sentence of the second paragraph. Presuming everything up to now is right. Sorry if I'm wrong. big_smile

It's all right. 'Tis better to ask questions than be confused. big_smile

I'm willing to bet that by the time I've posted this post you'll have probably have posted the correct answer.

Re: Cow Bull 1

He's got a program doing all the number logic for him and sometimes he inputs the wrong numbers.  Always copy/paste mathsy!

There's a problem ... make a program that gives guesses, well, logical guesses based on past ones.

In the meanwhile, I'm thinking of a number between 1023 and 9876 ... without repeating any digit.  Using ten-sided number generators, if that helps.

Okay, lets admit and concede, Mathsy is too good at it....
I throw open a challenge....
Someone guess this within 5 guesses.....
# Cow Bull 7

Re: Cow Bull 1

It doesn't matter yet, but if we are going to get this under five guesses, it might be a good strategy to wait for the reply first. Then we can consider all the information! big_smile

Yes, that's right. And then we still get to find the answer but we get to keep one of our guesses!

jU, give him time, I'm sure he'll reply soon enough. He may also be very busy, so we have to keep that in mind. You can sit back and relax!
