Basic Decimal Excercises

Easy decimals in here - Well not easy, basic. Not too complex...just do your best. Remember to have fun and take your time! smile

1. What is a half written as a decimal?
2. What is 0.5 x 0.6?
3. I have eaten 99.05% of a bar of chocolate. How much is left?
4. What is 0.5 / 30 to 3 decimal places?
5. What is 5/16 x 2/7? Simplify your answer, then write it as a decimal to 3 decimal places.
6. Arrange these decimals in descending order: 0.252, 0.522, 0.225, 0.0252, 0.552, 0.255.
7. Write thirty-one tenths as a decimal. Multiply your result by 0.25.
8. I ate 3 pieces of cake. There are 5 pieces left. Half of the 5 pieces of cake were not good to eat. How much of it was good to eat? How much had I eaten in the first place? Write your two answers as decimals.
9. What is 0.1 x 0.1?
10. What is 0.5 cubed?
