Hi,
I love the winter and cold weather, and I'm also pretty fond of math. Some things in math come easy to me and some things I find very difficult and I never understood such as LaPlace Transforms and differential equations and a lot of calculus and statistics were all very hard for me. Sometimes I will arrive at an answer through unorthodox methods, so bear with me!

The winters there must be nice. Not wet and windy, right? Lots of snow I imagine.

It depends how far north you are in New England, and if you live in the mountains. But in general, in the six New England states you get a lot of snow, and very little rain in the winter. And usually not that windy either. I used to live in the northern and mountainous region of New Hampshire, and it was awesome for a half Swede like me. Now I live in southern NH, but it is still very nice. We've had two good snowfalls already, but then it did rain a little after Christmas, which is unusual.

Yeah, if you are going to have Winter, it should be a proper one.
I lived in Denmark for a few years. Winters hover around 0°C. Water doesn't know what state to be in! It can rain, then the puddles turn into ice. It can snow, then the snow turns to slush, then freeze again into icebergs. And it is windy.
But one of my friends there had lived in Norway, and he said the much colder winter in Norway was much better - you could go skiing, etc!

You are right ... not Bulgaria.
And I haven't lived on a little unnamed island off the coast of Somalia either.
Nor Somalia for that matter.

How would he live off that? He'd get some money from the Google Ads, but I'd imagine it wouldn't be enough for him to not need any other revenue.
Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Yes, I think so.

Quite right, I would starve.
I currently do development work (websites, databases, always something different). I am a "Jack of all Trades" I guess. Keeps me busy, but I always find time for the Forum.
