Quick question, how can someone find the numbers composing an average ?
Ex : I have ---
x = 480
___ = 60
8
I want to find the 8 numbers composing the average ? How is that done ? thanks

Hi;
What you are asking is not possible. You are asking for 8 numbers that sum to 480. There are an infinite number of such groups of 8. You must put some constraints on those numbers to solve the problem.
In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

probably what you call "average difference" should be "standard deviation". What is the word used in the original text of the exsercise?
