Re: What do you think?

Hi;

About your exlanation of what you did. This will be good practice. As hard as it is to solve a problem it is harder to explain how.

Re: What do you think?

Yes, I have seen that. Now we can discuss what you would like to do with it. The pros and cons.

I need a little more than that. You have to tell me, what it is you want to do. I can advise you a little but I do not want to sway you in any direction.

Re: What do you think?

I would say you can email him at doctormatt at madandmoonly dot com. Explain that you have a general solution to #10. He will then instruct you.

But, do you think it's a good idea.

I have written the email down. You can delete if you think it's neccessary.

If you check the latest pdf you will see my email name there under thanks. Therefore what right do I have to tell you not to? But publishing always comes with a little risk. I have had work stolen from me by some very well respected people.

The way to decide is to ask yourself what you want to do. I will be happy with whatever decision you make.

Re: What do you think?

Okay. I'm emailing him. It's not much of a result to be stolen, anyway.

It hurts like crazy when it happens. I do not think he will do that though. So good luck.

Re: What do you think?

Do not abandon me just yet. If he is interested in seeing the solution, should I point him to the other thread, or should I send him the solution in a pdf file?

Re: What do you think?

Then do that when you hear from him. I will give you the simulation results I have and one or two more because he can understand that. You can include that in the pdf if you like.

When you do 4 of a kind, do you use the 6th row instead of the 5th row of the T's?

Re: What do you think?

Hi bobbym,

You know how to fit a good distribution?
I was guessing it might be approximated by weibull distribution.
The plot of probabilities are right-skewed. I'm getting no better result even after spending much time on this!

Hi gAr;

I have not had much luck either. Your picture did not show.

We have transferred over to a new server. The move has caused some features to malfunction. Uploading a picture is not working, as well as some parts of latex.

Re: What do you think?

Hi bobbym,

I had read about some troubles in other posts, yet I tried to check.
Anyway, the pic I was trying to post was point plots for face showing up thrice, and the weibull's plot for lambda = 7.9 and k = 3.6, which were close enough.

Re: What do you think?

Hi;

How did you get that using a Weibull dist? I am using geogebra to look at the distribution.
