Hi sparticus,
Welcome to the forum!

Hi mathgogocart
If there is one thing to realize on forums, it would be that you should not question a decision of a mod/admin. There are some things that mods and admins see that could be harmful to other members, so they remove it. If it was something really harmful (insults, swearing and math content) they can decide to ban the member.
Judging by the looks of it, sparticus was banned because of advertising, but there might be other things that we may have not seen which violated the forum rules...

Hi;
Do not let that concern you. To be barrred he must have done something to break the rules. I mean a major break of the rules.

hi
I put the ban on sparticus.
Initially he posted some valid posts and seemed like a 'regular' member of the forum. But on 12 January he edited his posts to include an advert to a commercial site. When I found the first, I removed the advert and replaced it with a warning. At that point I was willing to let him continue as it was a single break of the rules. But I then checked all his other posts.
I found the same advert over and over so I put the ban on to stop any further posts. Where a post (including his contribution) was valid within the forum rules, I let these stand so that no other members lost their posts.
But there were a couple where he had started a post, apparently just to add the same advert, so I removed these posts completely. No other member's posts were affected as he had only just started these.
If he tries to log back in, he will get a message telling him why he was banned.

Speaking of ARB, the number 516 means, 516 posts before ban.
Why was he banned? When I visited ARB's profile, there is even a "By Anthony R. Brown", even if there is already.
Maybe that's the reason.
