Hi

I can't solve this sum from Physics can anyone help me in solving the sum given below:


Find the maximum velocity for the overturn of a car moving on a circular track of radius 100 m. The co-efficient of friction between the road and tyre is 0.2.

I am sorry actually I was in a hurry that's why by mistake I posted this in the Introduction..

To go around in a circle, there has to be a centrally acting force.  Some tracks are banked so the weight of the car can 'assist' in providing this force, but, in your problem, it looks like it is just the friction between the tyres and the track. So here's the formulas you need

So put F equal to the central force, find R and substitute in, and the other values, and you'll be able to work out v.

Note: The m cancels out as it occurs on both sides of the equation.

v will be in metres per second.
