Avatars

Where does everybody find their avatars?

Being of the "more mature" variety, I have grown up with computers being a business tool, not a fun thing, so things that may be instinctive to the younger ones are not immediately obvious to me! I have tried a quick search, but am finding it very difficult to find anything vaguely amusing that fits within the requirements of 60 x 60 and max 10Kb.

Any suggestions

Re: Avatars

Go to www.google.com then click on images.Type what picture you want. Then press enter.Near halfway up the page there will be all sizes.Click on the button to have some options and select small images. There should be plenty of small images.

Re: Avatars

You can make your own in Paint, or some other, better tool if you have one, which should easily go within the memory limit as long as you save it as a JPG.

Or, you can take the simpler option of searching for one on google. If you go to 'Advanced Image Search' you can specify to only return small images, and all of those will fit.

Then you click the image to get it in its original context (otherwise it's a dynamic URL, which you can't save as a JPG) and then right-click and 'Save picture as'. Name the picture, and then go to Profile > Personality > Avatar Uploads and let loose your avatar upon the world!

Re: Avatars

Tigeree, as I am over 13 (!), I feel quite comfortable telling you I am from the UK. Originally an Essex boy, raised in Surrey and now living in Devon with a wife and 1.3 children. Hope I don't break any rules by telling you this!!
