Compass designs

Recently I've been having a lot of fun making designs using a compass and a straightedge. I wonder if anyone knows what they are called so that I can learn more about them. Thanks!dunno:)

Welcome to the forum. I think the first people to do that for arts sake were the Arabs, they call it Islamic design or art.
