Suggestions:
Important
1. A thanks button to show appreciation to a post.
2. An Academic Help or Guidance forum.
3. Science HQ forum should be put under Help Me, so more people can see it.
4. More templates for the forum (e.g. red, blue, pink, yellow etc).
5. More features in the Profiles section. For example, currently there is a "last post" feature which tells you when the user posted most recently. How about a "last online" feature along with it? And maybe a posts per day feature?
6. Avatars up to 100x100 at least.
7. The ability to report members - not just posts.
8. Better organization - Combine all Personality (in profile) stuff with Display (maybe Signature can go under Personal).
9. A homework template including the homework problem,relevant information (formulas, theorems, equations, concepts etc which may be helpful in answering the question) and what you have tried so far (even if fruitlessly).
Not so important
4. Polls.
5. No posts in the "Members Only" forum should count as posts (lots of forums have this and there are clear advantages).

Agreed. We can also have a kudos button or a like buttoon or a thanks button for each post.

Science HQ, Jokes, Guestbook, Introductions etc have nothing to do with mathematics directly as well. However, I am sure many people who post academic guidance questions (which have some association with mathematics or science - e.g. should I pursue a degree in math) is we have a forum for it.
We already have some threads like that, such as Patternman's or cmowla's, but a separate sub-forum will make it more organized and wil attract more users.
