A liberal Arts Major is a guy who has never heard of math.
What is mathematics good for? I like mathematics but I do not think the world will be nullified without it.
'And fun? If maths is fun, then getting a tooth extraction is fun. A viral infection is fun. Rabies shots are fun.'
'God exists because Mathematics is consistent, and the devil exists because we cannot prove it'
I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

For one thing there would not be a forum here!
In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

Many mathematicians, scientists and engineers see liberal arts, humanities etc as being a waste of time too. I guess their argument is that it is too subjective, usually not a correct answer, useless etc. It is obvious that they would think the same about our fields. Everyone has a different perspective, but none are necessarily correct.
