During Vector Calculus today, my professor was going over how to compute complex and long integrals in an easier manner. Before going into the lecture she said:
"A good mathematician would say, 'There has to be a theorem that will help me out.' A good engineer would say, 'I'm gonna get this sucker.'"
"In the real world, this would be a problem. But in mathematics, we can just define a place where this problem doesn't exist. So we'll go ahead and do that now..."
