Oh no! A new member, rimi, had just introduced themself. It was posted twice, exactly the same, so I deleted the second post, which strangely ended up deleting both. I don't understand.
In his/her post count, it says 2 posts, when really, there were three (they posted just once elsewhere). Also, down the bottom of the home forum page, where it lists the users online, it said 'justlookingforthemoment, rimi, rimi'. What happened? Why is rimi shown twice, when I checked and it was the same user?
I am so sorry, rimi! Here is your introduction post.
Hi!
Its Rimi.I am 25,but this is the first time I have visited the site.I am very much fond of math puzzles. The only thing I didnot get is that how do I get a promotion from Novice post?
I would love to accept any math challenges from anyone, though I cannot assure that I can solve them out every time.
Rod, maybe some fixing up can be done? Or, rimi, you copy your message and post it again, and I will delete this one. Again, sorry about the mistake!
-- Rimi, I forgot to say, welcome to the forum! Answering your question, once you reach a certain amount of posts (five, I think), you get promoted to the title of 'Member'.

Hi rimi, and welcome!
You will find many puzzles if you look through old posts, and there are new ones every day - some for fun, and others where people really need help.
And you can give us a few, too ...

Hello rimi.I give lots of puzzles.just go to puzzles and games(quite obvious)and look at the topics. Here is a easy one. This figure can be turned upside down by moving 2 sticks.Which 2 should be moved.Just explained how you did it and draw it on the computer using / \ | - _ .Mind you this one is much more easy than the other ones I send in.They will be MUCH harder.
Heres the figure.

\ _ | we move the first stick in the numerator
|
_ | we place it at bottom end in the denominator
| |
_ / we move the remaining stick in the numerator
| |
|_ we shift it in the numerator to the position where the first stick was

Is this ok?
