I did not like it as a photo editor when I used it on XP.
You can describe to me then what you did with it to get your coordinates. I am interested in your method.

You just paste it in GIMP and then when you mouse over the points, the status bar shows those coordinates

I used to use ACDsee but now I just use a photo viewer with light editing capabilities.

It acts like a file manager so that you can see one picture after another by just one key click. Also, it can create slide shows.
