I agree too, that is why the quality of schools is so important, you have to learn to understand maths, not just commit to memory.

I find with maths that somethimes I will be taught something and find it really boring and pointless, but then later on we will do something else that needs it, and it makes so much more sense and is a lot easier when you have a context for it.
