hello everyone , Dad of One here

Hi Everyone,

Hello, Gracias, Namaste, Ciao , G'day Mate from Australia

Just joined the forum trying to generate some Maths Worksheets for my Preppie.

Just glanced through the forums yet and looks like there's a ton of information here, Excited to be a part of the Forum .  Hopefully will help with tools to teach my 5 year old.

I have generated about 100 different Math Worksheets and now in the process of stitching them together as one PDF , 25 Addition, 25 single Substraction, 25 double digit substraction etc etc, still trying to find if there's a simpler way to do this instead of creating this one page at a time and stitching them together.

I created 25 page PDF Worksheets for addition and Substraction from the exercises on this page

http://www.mathsisfun.com/worksheets/print.php?w=1776&ID=1391

Can someone tell me the best way to share these PDF worksheets on this forum,

Thanks,

Thanks,

Hi DadOfOne,

Welcome to the forum!

Regarding PDF Worksheets, I am sure the Administrators and other moderators would help you in your endeavor!

Hi;

Welcome to the forum. Do you still need help with the PDF's?

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

Re: hello everyone , Dad of One here

Hi Bobby,

Yes I'd love to figure out an easy way to create Exercise PDFs currently this is my process:

1) I generate one page at a time ,
2) Print / Save as PDF ,
3) Repeat 25 times ,
4) Collate all those 25 files into one file, Add Page numbers etc.

Repeat the process for Addition, Subtraction, Double digit Subtraction etc .

If there's an easier way, I'm all ears, please let me know,

Thanks,

I will have MIF look at your problem. He might be able to suggest something.

Re: hello everyone , Dad of One here

Thank you, Bobbym,
You can see in this link where I have uploaded the PDF worksheets I created, They are also not optimized for A4 printing.

https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B-iJPMmcLe7QbTNkNXBrYmdBbHc&usp=drive_web

The PDF uses only half of every page.

Some Suggestions:  Let me know if I am getting too far ahead of myself.

Ideally the Font size on the sums could be lot larger, would make it for easier for viewing Or we could have more sums per page, but those are cosmetic problems.  Could add a place for start time and end time so we can track speed / improvement over time.

As a start it would be great to find an easier way to generate these that people could just print and hand over as exercises. :-)

hi DadOfOne

Welcome to the forum.

I wonder if someone (not me, I'm sorry) can put two half pages together into one so as to save paper.

That is a great idea, yes, I was looking for something simple like that about 20 or so pages long that I can download print and hand out as homework / daily exercises (Say 4 Pages).

I open a page like this >
http://www.mathsisfun.com/worksheets/print.php?w=1776&ID=1391

in chrome and use the Print > Save to PDF functionality to save this single page as a PDF.

Re: hello everyone , Dad of One here

A quick search reveals plenty of free pdf mergers around.  Trouble is, these 'free' items often have a hidden catch, including malware !!!  Might be best to wait on MathsIsFun himself.  Strictly, you ought to get his permission anyway, as he has the copyright.

Yeah Agree. I will wait for MathisFun,  Didn't want to step on his copyright or anything, I'm just trying to add to his work and make all this more useful for everyone.  Happy to have found this site.

Having ready to print worksheets would just make it easier for everyone, that's all.

Re: hello everyone , Dad of One here

Actually I found worksheets elsewhere with more sums per page,

That will be a good guide to what I'd ideally need

http://www.math-drills.com/addition/addition_single-digit_noregrouping_nozeros_100_001.html

There are Subtraction ones as well on the same site, Ideally looking for something like this with more sums per page. No problem though happy with everything here.
Thx

Re: hello everyone , Dad of One here

How're the worksheets being generated?

Can we write a script?

'And fun? If maths is fun, then getting a tooth extraction is fun. A viral infection is fun. Rabies shots are fun.'
'God exists because Mathematics is consistent, and the devil exists because we cannot prove it'
I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

HI Agnishom,
Yes a script would be the ideal way to do this, but I can understand if it is too complicated or too much work
