Oh, OK. I stand corrected.  When I log in I can view all my old pictures and use them again if I want.  I've used the gold star a few times. Presumably non members have a once off chance to post a picture, and can only have a repeat use if they track down their post and read the bbCode.  It doesn't cost anything.

Last time I posted a picture I noticed Imgur has made some changes to their front page.  So my old screen shots are not quite how it looks now.
