Are you supposed to solve by Ohm's law or Thevinin's theorem?

I have only been taught Ohm's Law.
I have solved that the current through the battery is 2 Ohm but I cannot find the current that goes in the individual parallel resistors.

I got the correct answer. But I am confused about how you arrived at the equation in the third line.

Potential Difference=12V
Now, the question is just confusing u.
Current is uniform throught the circuit, as i know from NCERT books.
So, I=V/R=12/3=4 ohms
