Re: Maths Books

I do not remember exactly but I had two favorite problems when I was about 6. Figuring the area under a curve and fitting data with polynomials.

Re: Maths Books

When you were 6 yrs old, you did these kind of problems. Well, don't joke. There is also a limit for telling lies, bumpkin.

Re: Maths Books

I could calculate very rapidly in my head and loved to do so. I had little understanding of calculus or numerical analysis but those two problems fascinated me. I discovered on my own how to stuff rectangles under curves and in a primitive way I was doing calculus. The curve fitting problem stumped me until much much later...

Re: Maths Books

Well, bobbym if you are so intelligent then I think you could have easily done those difficult problems which I had submitted before here.

Re: Maths Books

Excellent Bobbym. The answers of 11,12,17 i)&ii) and 18 i) are correct. C'mon try to solve the rest of them.

Note:-I must tell you all that these answers are open for all to solve. I do not want only bobbym to solve it, other users are also welcome to post their answers here.

Re: Maths Books

Hi bobbym,
Came back after so many days due to my internet connection problem. Hope everything was going well here.

Hmm, your 15 and 16 i) answers are wrong. The 16 ii) answer is correct.

Where are you moving, bobbym? Not from Florida to New York I hope? Anyways take your time, get the work right done and come back soon.
