This is a bad suggestion, but maybe there could be a forum full of 'math-type facts or information' designed to help people and children with mathematics? The Formulas section is...'kind of' designed to help people, but maybe another forum designed for this thing would be useful.
Bad idea.

On the contrary, a good idea. Like the other good idea of a symbol and definition section. I just have to figure a good structure for it.
Let's discuss to see if a bright idea emerges.

Wkipedia has a a good lot of mathematical symbols with their definitions. Although I suspected they wouldn't have all the details and symbols.
(oh, and that's a link)

Yeah, that's good!
I have a Geometry Symbols, and I made a start on general symbols, but there were SO MANY.
I still think we should have our own list here, either on the forum, or on the website somewhere. Possibly a few pages: "General Symbols", "Set Symbols", "Calculus Symbols", "Logic Symbols" ... maybe modelled on the Geometry Symbols layout?

Sounds good...
But the only problem is getting all the characters. Most character maps don't contain many mathematical symbols. But before we do anything major, we should just get a few lists together. Hopefully Wikipedia will help us make use of some of their descriptions and/or their characters.

For the geometry symbols I used mostly images I made myself. But the Wikipedia characters look fine on my PC, but maybe not on others. So maybe we can use some of them successfully.

If some of the characters that are on Wikipedia may not show up on some users' screens and could be of some use to us, we could easily get a snapshot of the character and crop it down to a good size to use on the forum/site as a character image, rather than as plain text.
The Geometry Symbols page looks good, BTW.

You need two sizes of each symbol - large for the first column, and small for the examples. If I had the time I would get on to it straight away - copy the "Geometry Symbols" page, rename it "General Symbols", and start populating it with symbols.
