Gulf Air is the state-owned airline and the flag carrier of Bahrain, which was founded in 1950 by British Pilot Freddie Bosworth as Gulf Aviation. Headquartered in Muharraq, the airline operates scheduled flights to 52 destinations in 27 countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe. The airline's main hub is Bahrain International Airport.
Gulf Air currently serves all its destinations with a combination of the narrow body jets Airbus A320, Airbus A321, Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo, as well as the wide body Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Dubai–International is the busiest route served by the airline, with over 95 flights a week back and forth.

Baggage Allowance And Web Check-In
The Gulf Air baggage allowance policy states that on tickets issued wholly on flights operated by the airline, checked-in luggage should not exceed 40 kgs for Falcon Gold passengers and 30 kgs for Economy Class ones.
With the Gulf Air online check-in facility, you could avoid long queues at the airport. You may check-in 24 hours until 90 minutes before the flight departs. You may also select the seat of your choice and print your boarding pass from home.
