LaTeX Crash Course?

This has possibly been posted about before...

Is it worth making a stickie about some basic LaTeX functions, how to use it, some examples, etc? It seems the effectiveness of the boards would be greatly enhanced if more people knew how to use it without having to go through all the superfluous stuff about documents, formatting etc.

I would be quite happy to write a bare-bones post if it would be used at all and not get lost at the bottom of the fourm... what do you think?

Re: LaTeX Crash Course?

Yep, we could sticky it, in introductions.

Re: LaTeX Crash Course?

Nice one - I shall do it at some point today (assuming my internet at home works, it's a bit iffy at the moment...)

Re: LaTeX Crash Course?

This would be really helpful. Truthfully, I haven't a clue how to use the LaTeX system.

Re: LaTeX Crash Course?

o then i probably shouldnt try it since i need a code and blabla and EVERYONE knows i have a bad memory the worst actually. 1 example is that i forgot my tie today and left it at home so i had to borrow one from school. the only reason i remembered to give it back was because i had to write it on my hand lol
