OK, another topic in the style of [subject semicolon question questionmark].
So, what is your favourite era in history? Personally, I don't have one, and I hate it when someone asks this kind of question, because I don't have a favourite. Romans? Ancient Babylonians? Ancient Egyptians? Whatever part of history it is, share it with us here.

Mine is the Indus Valley Civilisation.

I like the Ancient Babylonians, although they aren't necessarily my favourite.

Old Testament Egypt.
Boy let me tell you what:
I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player too.
And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you.

1492: Christopher Columbus!!!!!!!
But did you know Christopher Columbus wasn't the first person to land in America, people
had ended up there at least 250 years before him.

They didn't kill whole civilizations though! That has to count for something...

The one we would like to live in? Or to read about?
To actually go back and live there could be really hard for us soft 21st Century types. Just wearing the clothes would be a real hardship, the material was rough and ill fitting.

Well, what if it was a time where you didn't wear clothes? That doesn't sound all too bad, now does it?

I wouldn't want to live in the past since there is no time in the past that has been as good as life now. I wouldn't be a Pharaoh of Egypt or Emperor of Rome in place of my life now, as an average citizen. We are very lucky to be living in this time and age.
As for my favorite era in history, I would have to say recent history, especially Australia's because I find it the most relevant to my life.
