5Y+15(Y)+15(15)=35
5Y+15Y+225=35
Subtract 225 from both sides: 5Y+15Y+225-225=35-225
5Y+15Y=-190
20Y = -190
Divide both sides by 20: Y = -190/20
Y = -9.5
Test by substitution:
5Y+15(Y+15)=35
5(-9.5)+15(-9.5+15)=35
-47.5 + 82.5 = 35
35 = 35
