Re: hi

Cachelle, advice for you. When you're posting, it's OK to use words like plz and gr8 and lyk2, but standard speech does help. For example: Hello, wuu2? If you're asking me, nm.

Good advice, Choco! That way everyone can understand.

Too bad that there are more N00Bs in the world than normal people.

Re: hi

I wouldn't say that's true. Normal people tend to blend in and not get noticed because they're, well, normal. N00Bs stand out and make people go 'Ooh, look at that silly n00b.'

Because n00bs get noticed more often, that creates the illusion that there are more of them.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Re: hi

N00BS are people who are always on the computer, hunched over it and munching on packets of crisps and glugging down Coke. They post millions of times in guestbooks on forums, not using standard speech. Many sign up to chatrooms/MSN/forums and now only understand chatspeak and 1337. N00BS spend the whole day hunched up on the computer, only breaking for meals and sleeping, or anything else like that. Some even loose all sense of reality, they are in Computer Land all the time.

Re: hi

I was taught elsewhere that the term “n00b” was a short form of “newbie”.
