Hello, Murphy, thank you for stopping by at the Maths Is Fun forum.
The ^ symbol (if that is what you meant) is something even I didn't understand when I registered here) is just a programming way or a computer-type way to mention a power or to raise something to a power, eg. 2^3, 16^2, 32^256. Understand?
