Re: Join SAKE

And I thought advertising is disallowed in signatures, is it not?

I've registered, but you have to do something about the 'Academia' forums. They somewhat feel as if they were identical to me ... but the forum has a nice concept. Need to consider the quality, and not quantity. The beginning of a forum is down to quality, always quality ... it's what will get members hooked. Try to fill up your forums as much as possible, no one likes to see a long column of 0s.

I know you've just started this forum and you will probably update it a lot soon/shortly, but keep in mind that it won't be easy just getting registrations or posts on there from links ... Overall, however, a nice concept. Good luck with your forum!

Re: Join SAKE

Thanks everyone. up

Yes, I’ll be working on the site – not only with filling in more posts but also with configuring it. For example, how do I add more custom tags? I’d like to the add the SUP and SUB tags for superscript and subscript respectively. dunno

If they are advertisements for an inappropriate site, then yea.  Especially if the posts are lacking of content and the user is new.  None of these of course apply to Jane.

Well, I have really no idea if those free forum hosts for PunBB actually allow you to do that.

Re: Join SAKE

Oh, there are paid PunBB versions as well as free ones, are there? Didn’t know that.

I know that SUP and SUB tags work over here (Maths Is Fun Forum) – indeed I use them a lot – what I shame I can’t do the same thing on my forum. sad

Re: Join SAKE

Hey Jane, you most likely didn't type the place names, but on the 'Register' page, in the timezones section:

(GMT+09:30) Central Austrailia
(GMT+10:00) Eastern Austrailia

gave me a bit of a laugh.

Well, I signed up ... under 'jl'.

And it's interesting to note that users with 0 posts are 'members' and users with 1 'newbie'. big_smile

Re: Join SAKE

Here's the correct time zones, if the ones above are wrong.

(GMT+10:00) Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney

(GMT+09:30) Darwin
