Allow me to introduce the Yume thread !!!
'Yume' is Japanese for dream. So, if you had a strange dream that you think might make people laugh, and you'd like to share it, post it here!

I had a weird dream once that I went on this website and then a week later I went on again and Roraborealis still had the same avatar! How weird is that?!
LOL! But a good idea, Rora. I will have to wait for a dream now *nods off, fitfully*

I've often had dreams of biting my flute in half or taking a chunk out my saxophone...
We should have someone 'translate' these dreams into real everyday meanings!

I had a dream last night that went to New York. But, when I got there, the London underground was there even though it was New York! Then my parents went to McDonald's and bought a volcano of blue powder in an ice-cream tub (????)! I remember after that we went on the London underground and my family got off at a station, but I was left there, and as soon as the train moved I grabbed the volcano of blue powder in the ice-cream tub and jumped out of the window.
But that was when I woke up.

... it stopped too soon. Why do dreams do that?
I occasionally have dreams of flying - I am not very good at it, but if I angle forward and think right, then I slowly glide forward off the ground, and can ascend gently. It is a good feeling looking down on everything, and usually amazes everyone.
(I wish I could do that in real life!)

My dreams are too complex and mentally unstable.
Boy let me tell you what:
I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player too.
And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you.

I have frequent dreams of flying, and I know what that means. If you have many flying dreams, and if often you are flying away from things, then it means you do not like being tied down or pigeon-holed.

I've predicted unusual things in my dreams sometimes that actually happen to me the next day - no joke. Its like you're having a phsycic dream, although I can't remember any specific ones...

Really, stewie? Got any examples?
I have had repeated dreams of being in an unfamiliar place, and then years later I find myself in that place - what is THAT all about?

Who has had the feeling in a dream where they can't control themselves?
For example, I have had dreams where I am trying to turn the page of a book, but my hand won't move...and then I'll wake up with a jolt and my hand will feel like it's just been in mid-air!
Or I'm trying to do something, like pick up an object, and my body will not follow my instructions.
Maybe I'm just weird.

Dreams can be weird - it doesn't mean you are.
I heard an explanation that some dreams are the brain figuring out things without the complication of the real world. A bit like doing calculations on a scrap of paper before writing them out for handing in. An example was a Nurse who dreams of dropping babies. The brain just wanted to contemplate the subject without the risk of actually doing it!

I made weird theories on dreams and memories. Like; you always remember the past day, the next day, which is how you're seeing the past day, if you understand.

Who has had the feeling in a dream where they can't control themselves?
I once had one; I was at my grandma's house and the oven was going to explode and if I didn't get out of the house I would die because it would explode, and everybody was outside telling me to get out, and I was trying and trying to move but all I was doing was moving so s-l-o-w-l-y, and at the end of the dream I died.

Haha I had the weirdest dream ever, and since I've told them, my friends haven't let me live it down XP. I went to this little town that's a few hours away from me to visit a guy I was dating a while ago. Anyway the town was super weird with only like 5 houses. We went for a walk and traveled behind these two big hills where there was a beach with endless ocean. All of a sudden I was on a rock shouting "I've lost my oven mitt in the ocean!" Then we went back to his house because I was really upset and I woke up.
My friend and I tried to decipher my dream with these 'dream-cards' she has. (You know one of those christmas presents from your great aunt which you never use). Lol it didn't have anything about oven mitts though. Ah what a weird dream :S!
