The best way is to make a good guess how many times the divident goes in the number you want to devide, then multiply the guess with the divident and subtract that from the number you are dividing and add the guess to the final answer of how many times the divident goes in that number, and whatever you have left from the subtraction you do the same thing with.

Let's divide 811 by 9 and see what we get.
Remember that 9 x 9 is 81.
Okay 8 is smaller than 9, so try 81.
9 goes into 81 9 times.
Write the 9 above the 1 of the 81.
Put a dot after the 9.
Woops, I was wrong.
Don't put a dot after the 9.
I thought the decimal point was next.
But it wasn't.
Actually the dot will be above the last 1 in 811.
So now we have a 9 and a space and a dot for the answer so far.
Now times the 9 on top with the 9 on the left.
That's 81 and write it under the 811.
Now the 81 is right below the other 81.
Subtract them and get zero.
Drag down the last 1 in 811 down to the right of your zero.
Now, is 9 smaller than that 01?
Nope, 9 is bigger, so we need to make the 01 into 010 or ten.
Ignore the 0 before the ten.
Put a zero in your answer after the 9, so now you got 90 dot.
You wrote that zero because 9 is bigger than 01.
Nine is bigger than one, so you wrote a zero in the answer.
Because zero times 9 is 0.
Okay now do the 0 before the dot times the 9 on the left and get 0.
Write zero below your 01.
Subtract zero from 01, that comes out 1. Nothing happened.
Now after the 811 make a dot and a few zeros, it makes things more precise,
like decimal places.
You can do decimals, or you can just have a remainder, which can be a fraction.
Like the remainder now is the 1 on the bottom of your last subtraction.
So the answer is 90 dot and a remainder of 1.
The aswer 90 dot and remainder of 1, the remainder 1 can be divided by the 9 on the left to
make a fraction.
So the answer is 90 and 1 ninth.
By the way, 1 ninth is just point one, one, one,one,one,one forever, if you want to remember that.
Now if you want to see the repeating ones come out in your
answer then we have to continue.
Drag down one of the zeros after the 811 dot I had you write.
Now you have 10 on the bottom.
Is 9 smaller than 10?
Yes, so how many 9's can you fit into 10?
One.
Yes, so write 1 in the answer at the top after the 90 dot.
Now you have 90 dot 1.
Now times the 1 times the 9 on the left and get 9.
Write 9 below the bottom 10.
Subtract them. 10 minus 9 is 1.
So you have a 1 again on the bottom.
But you always bring down the next number
after the 811.0, so now you drag down
another zero off of the 811.0000.
Now you have 10 on the bottom again.
Is 9 smaller than 10?
Yes. How many 9's fit into 10?
One, so write 1 at the end of the answer at the top again.
Now you have 90.11 for your answer.
Multiply 1 by the 9 on the left and write the
9 below the bottom 10 and subtract and get 1 again, and
drag down another 0 off the 811.000
Now the answer is 90.11 and a remainder of 1 still, but this
1 is now .001 divided by 9 I guess.
Anyway, it goes on forever.

Yeah, something didn't seem right about that guy. Thats why i was inclined to disregard his question and admonish his speech habits. It seemed like he was doing it to sound cool and it just wasn't.
