I am thinking it would be good to translate some of the mathsisfun.com website to Spanish, but what would "Math is Fun" be in Spanish
"Matematicas es divertida" ... ? Not a good domain name: matematicasesdivertida.com
Any Ideas?

how about "good math" ?
It's "matemáticas buenas"

Ohh!!
That'd be nice!
You like spanish ¿?

I think we can call it "Mate es entrete".
"Entrete" means "Fun", actually, the complete spanish word is "Entretenida", but it is a little large for the domain name.

I have managed to get http://www.disfrutalasmatematicas.com/

That would be 'Matématicas son divertidas'.
Or, replace Matematicas with mates. I think.

Just wonderin'.... why instead creating a domain you create, here, a spanish section?

Yes, we could have a Spanish section in the forum ... but the disfrutalasmatematicas.com domain is for a "mathisfun.com" translation. Once I get it off the ground I think there may be a lot of Spanish-speaking visitors directed to this forum.
By the way, do you like "disfrutalasmatematicas.com" ... ?

I might like it when it contains something more than coming soon.
Just wondering, why didn't you write "coming soon" in Spanish?
Just wondering, though...

Spanish is my mother language ^^

I like "disfrutalasmates.com".
Short & "mates" sounds better than "matemáticas".

I asked at the UniLang forum, and use of "mates" varied from country to country

I am a perfect bilingual, English and Spanish. If you need any help in translating etc you could always contact me even though I checked the Spanish site and everything seems to have been translated already. As I said, I speak perfect Spanish and could be of help if needed.
Also, I think the name you chose is perfect. First of all, translating "Math is fun" to a catchy Spanish name is kind of hard given the length of the resulting name since mathematics by itself is long. I think "Disfruta las Matematicas" (enjoy the mathematics) is well suited.
Some people recommended above to use "mates". The country I come from, we NEVER use that word to refer to math. We always use Mathematics since we dont have a short-cut such as "math" as we have in English. In fact, the ONLY meaning that "mates" have in my country is "to make out", I dont think you want a site like that, haha

Thanks, Luis.
At first glance it does look good, but there are hundreds of pages still to be translated, and I don't want to "release" the website until it is mostly complete.
I have a translator working part time on it, at about 10 pages a week.
But if you can help out though, it would be appreciated.

Hi!
First, forgive my poor english skill.
I like the site "disfrutalasmatematicas.com", that's how I came here.
Some people recommended above to use "mates". The country I come from, we NEVER use that word to refer to math. We always use Mathematics since we dont have a short-cut such as "math" as we have in English. In my country neither we use a short-cut to say mathematics. If you say "mates" here people automaticly thinks in more tha one "mate" [1]. And i like a lot the domain name "disfrutalasmatematicas.com" it`s very funny, I think.
I found this forum because I want to make my little contribution about to articles [2] [3]. I read there are some native spanish speakers un the forum so I will continue writing in spanish because I`m to tired.

Hi juantelez. Glad you like disfrutalasmatematicas.com
Everyone ... perhaps we should have an "Español" sub-forum ... ?

It will be great! Specially for me, since my english level it's not that good. And I'll like to have a place to ask something like:
Hola. alguien sabe si se puede salvar esta indeterminación y cómo?
lim x->1 ln / x - 1 =

"Disfruta Las Matemáticas" (disfrutalasmatematicas.com) is nearly finished, just a few more pages, some images and animations to go.
Should we now open up an "Español" sub-forum here and let visitors to Disfruta Las Matemáticas know about it? Who could handle Spanish math questions?

You could open that sub-forum and stick there a link to disrutalasmatematicas.com.

Apparently, this is the translation.I don't think it translated all of it, but...
