My fears

1. Human Corpses  2. Night   3. Being closed up in a room  4. Dogs  5. Snakes  6. Heights   7. Water bodies (depth)
Not necessarily in that order! Your fears????

Re: My fears

Dogs, Night, Water bodies, being closed up in a room, snakes, height

Are you going to derive something out of this sequence...

Regards

I wasn't really paying attention (because I was laughing too hard) but I think every single one of those is in the movie Snakes on a Plane...

Re: My fears

Spiders, Trees that resemble spiders (there are some in my backyard), sharp pointy things around eyes, and tight places where you can get stuck.

E.g. When I was young I was afraid of sliding down slides which were covered at the top, because I kept thinking that at the bottom of the slide the opening would be closed, and I would never be able to climb back up again.

I might be scared of those things I cannot perceive currently because I am ignoring them so hard, I can't see them anymore.

Never waking up (but still alive and not dreaming)
Being forgotten

Basically anything that prevents me from consciously exploring the world around me... I would prefer dreaming forever than being comatose...

Re: My fears

Spiders that measure more than an inch in longest length, less than that i can build up the courage to pick them up to take them outside of the house rather than killing them. If they are less than a cm in longest length then i enjoy playing with them.

Getting dirty, nowhere near as bad as i was when i was younger but i still really dont like getting dirty and have to wash myself straight away. Not because im afraid of getting infected with something or anything i just really don't like it tongue

I hated the dark once, but now, I just don't like the sounds at night, they can be pretty imagination-sparking!

Re: My fears

I did that once too. It was my 9(?)th birthday, and also the Math Competition in a school near my home. It was sort of a test, you know, with a testpaper.

After the test(whatever), I went home for my birthday party. I even invited my teachers to come, told them my address(since it's close to the school).

It turns out, I tied for first place. And, of course, there was a tiebreaker. And, of course, I wasn't there. And, of course, I have five minutes to get there (and I didn't know that). And, of course, my teachers forgot my address. And, of course, it was too late when i got there(no longer in uniform, I might add). And, of course, my classmate yelled at me (i cried)[I was 9 then].

But, I did get second place.

Re: My fears

I am afraid of ALL insects, and I mean all of them. Also, heights, tight, enclosed spaces; In general, human beings. Where I live, it's not exactly the safest place in the country. So, once when I went out to walk and think, when I was much younger, I was robbed and my friend was beaten down with brass knuckles, for absolutely no reason might I add. So, ever since then I've been like an abused dog with humanity. I tend to stay away from all people and be a bit of a loner. I'm also afraid of snakes, long and dark hallways, the ocean, and dying early.

Don't quote me on that.

The baby from the Teletubbies.

Wow.... that's spooky. I feel the same. Whenever I walk past the TV while the young ones are watching that mind-melting stuff that baby doing it's shriek-scream scares the heck out of me if I don't see the baby first. It always makes me jump if I'm not paying attention (which is pretty much never. Curse you NES for ruining my attention span!)

Why do kids watch Teletubbies? Whatever happened to Mr. Wizard, Bill Nye, and Professor Beakman?

I'm an acrophobic like Jane although I think it's just related to a fear of dying or becoming permanently physically damaged. The thought of ending up like Stephen Hawkings scares me more than the baby!
