British IQ level

This is apparently going down the drain: http://z8.invisionfree.com/DYK/index.php?showtopic=459 neutral

Re: British IQ level

I wouldn't say that shows anything about IQ levels. Despite that poster's opinion, I don't think that the question on coaly time periods is anywhere near "obvious". Not unless you have a fairly intimate knowledge of geology.

The power question is less difficult, but not so much that getting it wrong automatically labels you stupid (particularly if the question was posed as stated, because then the contestant could have been confused by the phrase "SI unit").

Besides, everyone knows that:
i) An individual does not reflect a nation.
ii) General knowledge is entirely different to IQ.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Re: British IQ level

A few months ago I read that IQs were generally rising ... but it is such a hard thing to test for.
