but i have difficulties with Maths terms. although I'm clever at solving Maths problem but when reading some questions. I don't know what they mean. can you tell me that in 11th grade in bristain, the students learn what in Maths? and would you please give me some terms that i can meet almost in maths test!

the first question: t2=2*1, t3=3*2*1=6,t4=4*3*2*1=24, t5=5*4*3*2*1=120, t6=6*5*4*3*2*1=720.
b. you can prove it by inductive method! when k=1, tk=1( it's correct)
suppose that clause is right when k=a or ta=a!(a>1),we have to prove that is also right when K=a+1 or ta+1=(a+1)!
because ta=a! ,so that ta=a(a-1)(a-2)(a-3)......3.2.1 (1)
but ta+1= (a+1).ta=(a+1)a(a-1)(a-2)......3.2.1=(a+1)! the clause is proved) . we conclude: tk=k! with k is belong to N* .

we can't arrive at the same conclusion if we don't know how high the well is. because, when u know exactly the height of the well you can know the current time that the frog get out the well! try to think about the fact, Dross. We can't always solve the problem in a general way.

I've applied for a scholarship from Bristain and next monday, I'll take the test. the test consists of 2 part . One is about English skills and the other is about Maths. this scholarship is for high school(11th grade). can you give me some advice for my Maths test? which part I should pay more intention to? thank you very much!

oh! i don't think so! the answer is 4 cats (for the first question)! each of 4 cats can see the others(consist of 3 cats) in the room! and each cat is sitting on it's tail! therefore, there're 4 cats in that room!
and the second question! i just give you the correct answer without the explaination! ^.^ : 7 nights and 8 days

1.there're 4 cats at 4 corner in a room. there're 3 cats in front of each cat, there's another cat on each cat's tail. how many cats there are in that room?
2.there's a frog at a well's bottom. the frog climbs about 3m in the day and slide down about 2m at night. how many day and night it need to get out the well?

hi everybody! I come from Viet Nam, this is the first time I've joined in a forum on internet. I'd like to talk about something related to Maths, perhaps I'm not very good at this subject but I think if I "talk with it", it will "reply to me"
