Using walkthroughs spoil the fun... hmm I'm stuck at level 17 currently. Working on it.

ni hao, or how are you... but so Ma+th=fun, you need to install the japanese language pack. Then you will be able to use the interface.

#3 Re: Puzzles and Games » In Just Five minutes..... » 2007-11-01 19:45:03

but saying? 5 minutes is long. maybe 30 seconds? More of a challenge, but I can't in 30 secs!

#4 Re: Maths Is Fun - Suggestions and Comments » Our New Forum » 2007-11-01 19:42:51

I think so too... but maybe make it more prominent with a banner? It would be easier to spot to, when you're in a different page?

#5 Re: This is Cool » 0.9999....(recurring) = 1? » 2007-11-01 19:37:51

they just don't equal... the main thing to remember is that any multiple of 3 cannot be a factor of 10^1, 10^2, 10^3, 10^4 and so on.

#6 Re: This is Cool » x triangled » 2007-11-01 19:34:57

exactly, but 'shaping' a number would be to make it a number that can be formed evenly into the 'shape' right?

#7 Re: Help Me ! » Remainders » 2007-10-28 01:35:57

shouldn't it be 8 - 2 then? because there is not a full '8' to divide by there.

#8 Re: This is Cool » x triangled » 2007-10-24 17:53:21

but isn't another possible formula for triangle numbers

???

or is it that I don't get what it really means?

2000, including the many members and regular posters? Anyway, I think a regular clean up of totally inactive members might be useful to the forum database...

Actually, it all depends on the benchmark, mainly, the border of the two natural orders. If a super dumb alien were to interact with us, it would consider us as 'supernatural' in their language, and in the sense that we are more advanced than them 'naturally' in both languages. dizzy

#11 Re: Help Me ! » what number? » 2007-10-24 17:38:07

simplified in my language:

a)35 is (5/3) or 1 2/3 times of the number. Find 1 times the number.
b)the smaller number is 1/2(50-10). Just add 10 to that result and you have the greater number.

#12 Re: Help Me ! » Friction » 2007-10-24 17:35:03

Excuse me, I don't want to sound rude but is R a variable to the equation? Independent? Dependent?

#13 Re: Introductions » Hello from other end of the world » 2007-10-24 17:29:22

the Asian continent, then. Just don't get too confused.

#14 Re: Jokes » An UNpopular joke... » 2007-10-24 17:28:02

the down key, or down button as many like to say.

#15 Re: Jokes » real chemistry names » 2007-10-24 17:27:17

oh, and it's fluorine, not florine. Chlorine too.

#16 Re: Jokes » just an email note » 2007-10-24 17:26:25

Just an email note, huh? Well then, its got to be a great one then!

#17 Re: Maths Is Fun - Suggestions and Comments » The 0.999... = 1 Fiasco » 2007-10-24 17:07:28

actually, I disagree with the theory of 0.999... being able to be multiplied by 10, because there is no end, which actually gives the extra value.

#18 Re: This is Cool » 0.9999....(recurring) = 1? » 2007-10-19 15:57:37

It's still infinite and finite, way close to the 'subject'...

#19 Re: Introductions » Hello from other end of the world » 2007-10-19 15:55:09

Asia? might be possible.... because this is part of a 'western' server?

#20 Re: Puzzles and Games » sdrawkcab slamina » 2007-10-19 15:51:51

I don't know.

otter = retto????!!!!!

I'm really not sure.

#21 Re: Maths Is Fun - Suggestions and Comments » Asked and Answered » 2007-10-19 15:42:52

Agreed, although if some would type that as the main subject, then it would be

Answered: Answered: Question

quite weird.

#23 Re: Help Me ! » sequences and series » 2007-10-18 17:57:25

find the 12% interest for the first payment...

1) amt needed to pay
12000-6000
=6000

2) no. of installments
6000/500
=12

continue.... it should be obvious from here.

#24 Re: This is Cool » 0.9999....(recurring) = 1? » 2007-10-18 17:54:35

actually, another 'proof' would be:

find the difference of 1 and 0.999...

it should be something like

0.000.........1

atthe end. BUT there is absolutely no end. so the difference will be equal to

0.000.....
=
0

so 0.9999... is indeed 1.

Really?

#25 Re: Guestbook » Hello there » 2007-10-18 17:51:46

then,

1) don't
2) convince yourself to
3) concentrate very hard for absolutely nothing.
